The panda is one of the world's most endangered species.
It is estimated that there are somewhere around 700 and 1,000 giant pandas still alive in the wild. Because they rely on bamboo as their main food they will remain in danger unless their habitat is expanded. The differing varieties of bamboo go through periodic die-offs as part of their renewal cycle. Without the ability to move into new areas that have not been affected many Pandas will starve to death. When die-offs occur the bears that do try to find a new place to feed often run into farmers and pochers.
Very touching picture. It's so sad that these wonderful animals are in danger of extinction. You beautiful work perfectly shows how horrible is to take away the freedom.
I like the concept, the personified panda expression, the subtly muted colors, and the attention that the blurring brings to the real subject of the picture. It's lifelike, but at the same time, manages to draw your attention to those puppy dog eyes. The background is stunning, too...
Overall, definitely the best thing I've seen for a long time.

This is gorgeous. Everything, from the background, to the blurred-in-motion foreground and the little panda caught in the middle...this is wonderful.

*sniffles* I hate that things suffer because off people. However, people also need to realise that the species have a flaw that is aiding their distruction. They used to be carnivores and now only eat bamboo which their body can get very little nutrient from...this means they gotta eat a HUGE amount of it....evolution doesnt always work i guess. (Lol, a bit of useless and random "1 in the morning" info there )
This picture is so beautiful, the expression is very moving too.
